A Blog for moth recorders in Bucks, Berks and Oxon
Is it not Udea ferrugalis?
It appears too large and lacks the usual oval markings?
That was my first thought - but started to have doubts !
I agree, it looks to me like a washed-out Ostrinia nubilalis.
Maybe there was some excitement after all! Thanks for discussion. In the trap it looked like nubialis- then I just doubted the more I looked through the literature.
