The mother's foe returns...

Our local Brown Long-eared Bat population seems to have awoken earlier than usual this year.  It never takes them long to realise where there's a good source of food and there was at least one set of Common Quaker wings by the trap this morning, so I expect there'll be more tonight...

  1. Goodness! I am a bit nervous about birds (a Robin got into the trap once in Leeds) but they seem surprisingly unable to spot completely inert moths, even on the shield or nearby walls, when I forget to shuffle the catch off into dark and hard-to-reach places
